There are many products on the market that enhance the ignition system of the RB26DETT.

And with the birth of the R35 GTR, a method of diverting the ignition coil was also born.

The R35 coil has higher Sparking Power, higher durability, and lower cost than the genuine ignition coil of the RB26DETT, so it is a very cost-effective component.

However, even with the same RB engine, it seems that diversion to NEO6 was not a major method.
I actually made it because I would make it if it didn’t exist.

It ignites reliably even at high revs, and the torqueful feeling even at low revs makes driving with your car even more enjoyable.

You can see how much the output can be increased by bolt-on in the video reviewed at the bottom. You can check the changes in horsepower and torque with chassis dynamometer. * Output varies depending on specifications.

Note: The tester core did not ignite well due to the plug ground function at the tip of the R8 coil.

When the same voltage is input, the current value and plug spark voltage flowing in the ignition coil are as follows.

16v input ER34GT-T Genuine ignition coil:
Maximum current value 6.77A Plug spark approx. 30,000V (actual measurement)

R35GTR Genuine ignition coil:
Maximum current value 12.26A Plug spark over 45,000 (actual measurement)

Audi R8 genuine ignition coil:
Maximum current value 15.35A Plug spark over 45,000 (cannot be measured in video)

Conversion plate design

This conversion plate is all machined from an aluminum block in consideration of heat insulation, heat dissipation, and strength.

No need for troublesome spacers when installing.
In addition, in order to prevent the corrosion of aluminum, this product is anodized to improve the design.

This 7mm thick aluminum plate also has the effect of blocking heat from the engine.

This plate realizes high strength by CNC full machining cut, omission of component parts, and prevention of parts falling off.

Since the body of the R35 ignition coil is installed at a higher position than the genuine NEO6 coil, it is not easily affected by engine heat, and heat dissipation and durability are improved.

Bolt-on design for easy installation

Installation is easy because it uses genuine holes.

Attach three spacers to the engine head.

Fix the conversion plate in 3 places with the attached bolts.

Connect the coupler to the R35 ignition coil as it is, and you’re done.

Caution

When you using this product, please note the following points when using a genuine Nissan R35 ignition coil or coil made by Hitachi.

When using a genuine ECU and R35 coil in combination, the check engine lamp lights up.
Since the feedback signal from the ignition coil is different, it is spit out as an ignition error.

There is no problem in using it. We also sell “lighting avoidance coils”.
Since it is an error canceller product, the check lamp will not light on the meter.

If you start a genuine Nissan or Hitachi coil with Power FC, the check engine lamp will not light up.

If you are aiming for high output with a genuine ECU, we recommend R8.
If the ECU is not rewritten, the R8 has stronger ignition power.
Also, the check engine lamp does not light up.
